Working together with the McElhanney team, we have been tasked to develop a Master Plan for the unique Horseshoe Canyon site. Located just off Highway 9, it is a gateway to the Canadian Badlands that is currently experienced by nearly 400,000 local and short-haul visitors a year. A popular stopping point for the touring market and a hiking location for locals, current visitation is typically short-day use visits. Despite its already significant visitation, there is considerable opportunity to enhance the visitor experiences at the site, extend the length of stay of current visitors and attract new visitors by providing year-round experiences that compliment the visitor offering within the Badlands already.
