Sue Bosdet, Director of Acres Away Ventures, Inc. is a tourism marketing and sales professional with 25 years of experience in all aspects of Hotel and Resort sales and marketing. Sue’s forte is pre-opening and Resort start-ups, creating sales and marketing programs, and establishing long term consumer, trade and media relationships within the global luxury marketplace.
Sue most recently worked with Clayoquot Wilderness Resort on Vancouver Island from its inception in May 1998 when it was a small and virtually unknown wilderness lodge located in a difficult to reach remote location. Today “Clayoquot” is a global trendsetter and world leader in luxury wilderness tourism experiences.
Other projects in Sue’s career include a remote luxury guest ranch, several city centre corporate and convention hotels, as well as small independent properties in British Columbia’s wine country and the Rocky Mountains of Alberta.
In her spare time Sue loves cooking, entertaining, and spending as much time as possible in the great outdoors. One of her favourite trips was hiking and cycling in Italy’s wine regions and travelling to explore different cultures and food, like Morocco and China.
