Bill Clark is the owner and president of Rustic Traditions Design Inc., a company whose focus is on design, construction and project management involving the restoration of log and timber structures. Being involved in the construction industry for over 35 years, Bill has developed expertise in the art of regional design and sustainable building practices. As an environmentally conscious professional, Bill uses reclaimed and aged materials, textures and fabrics, as well as organic materials from the building sites to create structures that appear to emerge from their surroundings. One of Bill’s major contributions includes the initial vision and design of structures for the world class Clayoquot Wilderness Resort on Vancouver Island.
Bill is passionate in the development of sustainable ecotourism, supporting communities around the globe. That passion has led to his involvement in humanitarian work and service in Burkina Faso, Africa. Bill’s adventures have also taken him to many corners of the globe, including ecotourism experiences such as whitewater rafting in Costa Rica, paragliding in the French Alps and trekking in the Huangshan mountain range in China.
Bill is an accomplished musician, artist and visionary. Bill enjoys spending quality time canoeing and kayaking with his wife Vicki, their children and grandchildren at home in Shawnigan Lake, Vancouver Island.
